Local coffeeshop Sonoran House is located off of Speedway and Tucson Boulevard. There you can find yourself transported into an atmosphere of comfort and productivity. Customers can be found busy at work, their gazes never leaving the screens of their computers as they sip on their coffee or indulge in the locally sourced sweet treats the shop serves.
Sonoran House opened up in the middle of 2024 in the heart of Blenman-Elm which is one of Tucson’s historic neighborhoods dating back to 1900. This historic neighborhood was the perfect spot for Arianna Wilson and Courtney Bedient to open their shop. The two Tucson natives feel a special connection to their hometown, having started not just one, but two businesses: Cactus Wren Kids and Sonoran House.
Sonoran House expanded into what whas once Flora’s Market, a Tucson classic that shut down. The space is shared with Redbird Scratch Kitchen + Bar. This collaboration will allow Sonoran House to expand its goods. Wilson shared that they are going to be providing craft cocktails, local and domestic beers, appetizer foods and breakfast items.
Wilson also shared that they “sampled a ton of different coffee before nailing our signature roast.” The beans they settled for are sourced from Peru, Brazil and Colombia. Their in-house roast is immaculate. Coming from a coffee enthusiast, it’s imperative that whoever is into coffee try out Sonoran House. Their vibes make you want to come back again and again, which is what the owners hoped for. For their next location, they hope they can replicate that vibe and keep people coming in.
