Pima to hold ‘Faces of First Year’ event featuring the Immigrant and Student Resources Center

By Dalton Grijalva The First Year Experience program, along with Student Life will be hosting a live event through Pima Student Engagement YouTube channel on November 20th at 1:30 p.m.. The event, called Faces of First Year, will feature The Immigrant and Student Resources Center (IRSRC). The event will introduce students to staff, student leaders, and resources which will be very valuable to first year students. The mission of the IRSRC is to help students bridge the information gap so that immigrant and refugee students can succeed while at Pima. Established in 2019, the center is relatively new. By Dalton Grijalva Cobra Kai is the sequel to the Karate Kid movies set thirty years in the future featuring the original actors, as well as some fresh new faces. The show was originally released as a Youtube Red as an exclusive in 2018. Just like its main character Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka), it finds new life on Netflix. Johnny has been down on his luck and also frankly a piece of hot garbage ever since he got Crane Kicked in the face by Daniel Larousso (Ralph Machio) and almost choked out by his Sensei, Kreese (Martin Kove). At a time when we are experiencing a global pandemic and city-wide rioting, red vs blue is the understatement of the century. This wasn’t a debate: it was a shouting match between two old men. $2.5 Million Donated to Pima for Applied Technology Programs

By Dalton Grijalva On Wednesday, Sept. 8, the Thomas R. Brown Family Foundation announced it would be giving Pima Community College $2.5 million to advance Pima’s applied Technology programs. According to Chancellor Lee Lambert, the goal is for Pima to further establish itself as the center of economic recovery and growth within the region. The donation will support employer demand for high-skilled technicians. From Michael Keatons redefining of the character all the way to Ben Affleck's homicidal maniac, the character has had everything from shark repellent to the infamous bat nipples. So what exactly could Matt Reeves and Robert Pattinson bring to a character so ingrained into pop culture that he could probably be considered the most popular superhero in the world?
