Following their perfect regular season, Pima Men’s Basketball continued their winning ways in their opener of the NJCAA Division 2 Men’s Basketball tournament. The Aztecs knocked off region opponent South Mountain Community College with a final score of 80-55 Wednesday, March 5 at the Pima West Gym. CohenJ Gonzales led the Aztecs in scoring with 18 points, with freshmen Isaac Johnson adding 17 off the bench. Wes Ball (12) and Kota Benson (10) also added double-figure scoring for Pima. My Day with a Culture Pass

By Jaymes Grace If you are interested in taking part in a cultural experience in Tucson, first head to your closest Pima Community College library. There, you can pick up a Culture Pass for free admission for two guests to 18 different destinations in Southern Arizona. Culture Passes can be checked out by PCC students as well as community members. Individuals are allowed to check out one pass at a time, and two passes in a 30-day period. Passes must be used within one week of checkout. Among the list of participating museums, gardens and parks are Cave Creek Museum, Tohono Chul Park and Reid Park Zoo. Naturally, the Pima Community College theatre department’s opening night of the stage adaptation was sold out. Meg O’Connor’s adaptation, directed by Maryann Green, took place from Oct. 17-27 at the Black Box Theatre at Pima’s Center for the Arts. His path to victory was not as easy as it was the previous season, yet he prevailed to win three drivers’ championships in a row. By Joel Herrera Pima’s Wes Ball and South Mountain’s Jayven Driscoll tip off the two teams during Feb.15 afternoon matchup On Feb. 15, Pima Men’s Basketball extended their winning streak to 27, handling the South Mountain Community College Cougars with ease with an ending score of 111-54. Pima, now 27-0, remains perfect on the year with only three regular-season games remaining. Highlights of the game included Wes Ball’s double-double and Gabe Oldham adding more dominance inside. Ball’s 17 points and 10 rebounds along with Oldham’s 14 points were accompanied by CohenJ Gonzalez, Max Majerle and Cooper Jones (11).
